Here's the problem with "photo -ops". If GWB poses for some photos with the injured troops and their families, the democrats slam him for using it for political purposes. If he quietly visits with troops and families behind the scenes with no cameras present, he comes off like a d!ck that doesn't care about the troops. He can't win.

The loss or injury of a loved one is a very personal situation and there are many families that prefer not to be on TV in a time of sorrow. Many of these people do receive personal phone calls and letters from the president without the public knowledge. I think that's the way it should be.

Doug, in an article that I've already pasted the link for elsewhere on the site, GW has sent EVERY soldier that has perished a handwritten letter to the family. I know that it doesn't make up for their loss and it wasn't designed to do that, but it does show that GW does care.

First it was the blood for oil cries, and then it was the lies and now they're trying to pull the "he just doesn't care" card out of their sleeves.

9-11 happened. That act changed the focus of this administration. If people can't come to grips with the fact that the world IS better off without Saddam running his terrorist activities then I don't know how to reach their sensiblity.
