I have heard this phrase several times, including some cigars I have thought about buying.

I understand long filler and short filler, but haven't figured out sandwich yet.

Help me out here.

I am thinking of getting some La Vieja Habana cigars and the Belicos looks really good to me, but the sandwich style filler has me stuck. CI's price on these is pretty good.

as i understand, that's pretty much it. take the mixed fillers, sandwich them into a binder, wrap it up, and there you have a "cuban sandwich" style cigar.

personally, i love the LVH's and a few other sammich syle sticks i've tried -- the cuban delight non-flavored, montesino napolean grande, etc.

As I understand it, "Sandwich Filler" is a combination of both long and short filler.

Short fillers, layered with either medium or long fillers. It's a way to use up scrap tobaccos. Sandwich cigars can be very good, if high-end scrap happens to be used with a decent wrapper. I don't have a problem with the LVHs, for example. There probably some real experts on short-filler cigars lurking on these boards. With research, you can find very reasonably priced, decent smokes.

Nuff said?

I looked at the Flor de todo.

It didn't peak my interest. I guess I'm funny that way, but the LVH looked good and I was trying to decide if I wanted to try it.

What is better is an opinion, you are entitled to that, but to say Nuff said, is really not necessary.

The Flor de Todo just doesn't cut it for me.

I must prefer the LVH. So, 'nuff said really was not 'nuff. 🙂

Jack,

My apologies, I took it wrong.

It has been one of those weeks.

Yesterday, took out our mortgage payment twice and then a hospital payment of $1,000 got lost in the mail.

$3,500 disappeared and the bank wasn't much help.

Between banks and hospitals, they're going to be the death of me. LOL!

I was a little short and apologize.

Yes. AF Curlyheads are sandwich cigars. I haven't tried Flor del Todo myself, but if Rolando Reyes Sr. farted within 10 foot of them I'd smoke em.
