Steven Tyler of the rock band Aerosmith sang the Star Spangled Banner before the Indy 500 last weekend. He bastardized the ending to "appeal" to the crowd. Instead of singing "and the home of the BRAVE" he substituted "home of the Indianapolis 500". Now people are outraged. They are Offended. What's the fuss about? Was this truly offensive or simply a poor decision (especially on Memorial Day weekend)?

Saw it and think that it was probably a poor decision, not a slam or anything like that! These people who sing the Star Spangled Banner need to quit trying to "trend" it or PI the song and just sing it as written. Charlie
