I was recently gifted what I was told was a Fonseca ISOM. Since it's at home in the humi I can't give the exact dimensions but I'd say it's corona size. About 4 1/2-5"

by 44-46. It is banded over white tissue paper. Can anyone identify this stick and tell me anything about it? Thanks

Mike

Probably either a Cosacos or Invictos size. All the fonseca's come wrapped in white tissue. For the money these are a pretty good smoke.

Fonseca Invictos Review:

Difficult to find on the traditional markets, this is a strong and harmonious cigar, a surprising cigar that calls the attention and - take note! It mst be lit by the point and, therefore, be cut at the thickest part. A very interesting Habano

Sounds like the Fonseca Cosacos. I happen to have a few of these and have smoked several recently. I think it's one of the better buys out there. Love them. A great little smoke. Doesn't require as much dry box time as other isoms. Let us know what you think of it!

I am sure it is a cosacos. I have quite a few and consider it a very good smoke. In fact, it is one of my go to Isom's. IMHO you have some good smokes

Fonseca is a great smoke for the money. I have about a half a box left. an ISOM thats not overpowering and I like the smaller ring size, it's a tasty smoke.

Thanks for all the responses. Since my opportunity to

enjoy an ISOM comes along so rarely I believe I'll set

this stick aside for a special occasion. A religious

day perhaps, like the first Sunday of the NFL season.

Go Texans!

Hello again fellow BOTLs.

I finally smoked this little gem last Saturday and I must say I enjoyed it like few other cigars I've had. I've been smoking cigars for about a year now and

as I said before my experence with ISOM's is very limited, but now I'm starting to see what all the fuss is about. The setting was the first evening on the back porch of my newly purchased townhouse at Lake Livingston here in Texas. In attendance were a good friend,(a fellow BOTL & occasional poster on this board) and our wives. I'm not much on writting reviews but I'll give it a shot. After removing the tissue paper wrapping I saw a smooth, very chocolate brown wrapper leaf. I used my bullet punch to open the cap and took a pre light draw. It was a little tight but certainly workable. After toasting the foot and getting a good, complete light, I took my first deep draw. Lots of great, strong flavors, but not overpowering. I'd call them complex for lack of a better term. I never really taste leather or wood like some do. As I continued, the flavors stayed very consistant. This cigar was never harsh or did it ever smoke hot. About two thirds of the way down it did start to tunnel a bit but I just let it go out, re-lit and was able to smoke it down to a nub without any other problems. Combined with the setting and the company, this cigar provided a great after dinner smoking experence. As I am currently operating under a self imposed $3.00 per stick limit (per box price), I may not enjoy another smoke like this for a while but I know there are a lot of fine smokes out there to try.

Thanks for listening,

Mike

That's right - one of the best deals around IMO - glad you liked it as much as I do - send me your address and I'll send you another one (or two) as promised:

Oh, btw, if you dry box it for at least 12 hours it will draw better and tunnel less.

Package is on it's way tomorrow or Monday - I'll throw in some other tasty treats that you might not have tried so the Fonseca is not lonely on his journey! It's all about the brotherhood! (and pulling as many as possible over to the dark side, bwahahaha!)
