Try this again in the CORRECT forum.

I smoked one of these tonight.

I must say, I'm impressed. Nicely built, good draw.

It seemed a little mild, but that may be because I had a Torano 1916 earlier.

And a cool band. LOL!

Nice flavor... My only issue with some of the Gurkhas are the thinness of the wrappers. Occassionally they just burst apart when smoking them.. This happened on my last Regent.

I really liked the two from the 10 cigar Gurkha Sampler so I picked up two Regent Humidor Combos. The cigars from the Regent Humidor Combos aren't near as good as the two from the sampler.

Ya know this makes a guy wonder how much a cigars size and shape affects how it tastes. Example; I enjoy the Torano Exodus 1959 gold Torpedo, but do not care for the Toro, to me it's harsh. Now the Regents in the sampler of 10 are corona size and the ones in the "humi deal" are Toro size. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Gurkha Regent made in conjunction with the Torano Family? Is there a pattern here? Am I a Paranoid? You be the judge.

Did they both (either) have gold print on the cello? I have some 'pre-production' bundles from cbid (churchills, I think) with no gold print, and was gifted one at a herf (robusto?) which I have not tried yet that has gold print on the cello. Perhaps it's the dreaded 'blend tinkering'.

A little to the left of medium...........but they just make the cut-off for me. Not too mild, barely, but well made and very flavorable. And correct..........surprising how affordable they still are (maybe not after this thread)!
