He's talking about all of these jerk-offs who have to showboat after they score a touchdown. T. Owens,Joe Horn...ect. Those guys have no idea what sacrafice is.

That's why my favorite player of all time is Barry Sanders. Call him a quitter if ya want, but football wasnt the most important thing to him. You score a touchdown..act like you've been there before. Show some respect.

I had a chance to meet Pat one time ,but i was sick and didnt feel like going anywhere. Wish now i would have gotten my ass out of bed to shake this guy's hand.

I used to be really big into sports. I guess I still am really big into baseball, but Pat Tillman changed all of that for me. I began to question why I loved sports so much and got so into it. Simeon Rice, an all-pro football player and former teammate of Tillmans was once asked about Tillmans sacrifice for our country. His Reply, "he wasn't that good a player anyway." Since that day, I have really stopped watching football altogether and have had a bad taste in my mouth when I see these stars parading themselves on television and acting as if they are God's gift to society. It is sickening.
Pat Tillman is a true American hero as are all of the other men and women in our armed services. They have voluntarily risked their lives for the service of each and every one of us. My prayers are with him and his family.

Tillman was at the prime of his football career and he walked away from several millions.

Anyone with that conviction and desire to serve has my every lasting respect. Even more so with his sacrifice.

Anyone like Simeon Rice that can't respect a man like Pat Tillman can't earn my respect.

simon Rice is also the guy that refused to accept his SUPERBOWL ring with the team (bucs) because he wasnt gonna take it until he got the respect he thought he deserved from the league and fans! Claiming Their was not enough RICE jerseys in the stands even at his home stadium

-- so dont let that morons comments stop you from watching a great game.

I couldn't belive when I heard this today! It was crazy, shakes you up!! no doubt. I am fed up with all sports personalities, but it's our own faults, 40 years ago sport athletes basically had to hav had a second job just to survive as palyers, we pay these guys way too much money. We've created a monster! Men like Tillman are true men, and there's tons of them, in the armed forces that is. My respect is allways for those who selflessly give!! Let's not forget what tillman did, but don't forget about the rest of the nameless faces just like Tillman serving over seas!!!

tillman also turned down a $9 million deal with another team to stay with arizona for much less because he believed in his team...you don't see that kind of loyalty today.

this is the kind of athlete that kids and adults alike should look up to.

first of all my deepest condolences to the Tillman family. I gave 10 years of my life to serve and played in the sand in the first gulf war. My kids (12&10) always ask why i cry when i hear our national anthem. I always tell them i shed the tears i do for the friends i have lost who like myself chose to serve to give there families the freedom they deserved. Call me what you will but a few more tears will now fall. I salute you Sgt. Tillman.

I just watch a story on ESPN that was done a year or more ago. I saw a family of hero's. Your three sons are men to be proud of. GOD bless you and keep you. You are a family that is an example to all.

Makes ya stop and re-think where you place your values.

I am proud to be a countryman of Pat Tillmans. He chose a field of battle that builds honor not wealth.

Unless you have been to war... you can't imagine being so scared. Something my brother once told me...

Very nicely put Tony.

And Simeon Rice the superficial jerk could never understand respect and commitment if it hit him in the face.
