I traded an Avo 22 for a couple of ISOMs - the Saint Luis Rey being one of them. I don't know the exact size of the one I smoked, but I think is may have been the Regios.

The cigar was well constructed with a natural wrapper which had a very slight green tint. It wasn't what I would consider a beautiful cigar...just nice looking. I got a good clean cut, and there was no problem with unraveling. I was careful to get an even light, and the burn stayed even until the very end.

This cigar had a dark, speckled, ash - which I have only seen in other ISOMs. The draw was effortless, and produced large amounts of smoke. The most distinct thing about this cigr is that it had ABSOLUTELY no off flavors - this is also a quality perculiar to ISOMs. I have smoked many premium cigars. However, there are only a few that I can say had no hint of bad flavors...This cigar was one of them.

Another thing about this cigar is the aroma of the smoke. I was smoking it as I was driving to a wedding. At first I was concerned about walking in smelling like a cigar. As I smoked this one, I really decided that the others in attendance were in for a treat. The aroma was VERY pleasant. And although it smelled like a cigar, it had a "lightness" about it - and nothing offensive. I normally have the windows cracked a fair amount when I smoke a cigar in the car. However, with this one, I just let the smoke envelope me, and it was pure delight.

One other interesting thing about this cigar is the way the wrapper changed as I smoked it. Toward the burning end, the cigar would take on a darker, glossy, look...Very pretty to watch, juxtaposed with the dark ash.

This is probably the mildest ISOM I have smoked - though it wasn't completely without strength. It didn't make my head spin, but just gave me a nice light feeling.

All in all, I would consider this a great smoke...In the top 5 of all time. If you like milder cigars, but want to smoke an ISOM, this is the one for you.

I want to thank my friend Dave for sharing this experience with me...It was all pleasure.

Thanks for the review. I just had a Serie A and wasn't all too impressed with it. It had that greenish tint to it that you described and was definitely milder. I don't mind a subtle smoke, but this one was a little flat to me - I think it was from 02 - do you know what year yours was??
