I just (tried) finishing a exodus torp. It was plugged beyond hope. I tried -probing- it with a draw poker to no avail. After struggling through the first quarter, I ended up clipping it back by the end that I had almost chewed off trying to loosen this silly thing up and caused a split in the wrapper. I guess I should have 86'd the thing at the start.

It sisn't taste all that wonderful either. generally, all the Torano's I have smoked in the past were tasty.

Maybe I was just overworked and out of breath running with this one.

Oh well..........lesson learned, just chuk em; why fight.

Sounds like it was over humidified. Also, the 1959 Exodus does much better after a little age. When I first tried the 1959 Exodus,I didn't care for it but after about 6mos I tried another and it was great,YMMV. X

Yup. Age does these puppies wonders and a little dry box time wouldn't hurt either (make sure you're at 70%, too). These were the first box I ever bought and I've smoked a lot of them. Never had a plugged one. Don't give up on them one of the best values out there. Also, I've started using a straightened paper clip to fix plugs and so far it's fixed 4 tight draws in a row very well...

Never smoked one I didn't like, but..........yeah.........don't believed I ever received a box (or a five-pack, for that matter) that wasn't too moist on arrival, for my taste. As mentioned, a little drying time + aging will do wonders for them. Just my thoughts...........

Smoked 2 yesterday, and smoking another one now. All w/ perfect draw...

I know that 1 of the 2 that I smoked ysterday were kept in my dry box, and the one I'm smoking now, were kept in a dry box as well (55% Rh).
