No point in jacking the other thread.

E said 'CAO? the flavor I taste in the criollo's that I just realized is some sort of citrus. I get this in the CAO and the CT Exodus Silver- oh wait prob. the same thing...lol...the thing is - w/ subtle flavors - nuances can change depending on a lot of things - especially what you're drinking - that's why for most every cigar that I smoke - at some point I'll smoke it w/ just a glass of water and really pay attention to it. Having said that, I still can't pin down much more than 'good','bad', or 'ok' a lot of the time...'

I am not tasting citrus and I keep thinking nutmeg or toasted something. This is one of the best smelling cigars ever.

What do y'all taste in these?

sure, I taste the nutty, toasty flavor and every now and then just a hint of citrus. Not as much nutmeg in these for me. Have you had a RASS? This is one of those sticks that made me just sit and pound my brain thinking - what the heck is that taste?

I am glad I sparked some kind of curiosity with the "Blind Mystery 4". CAO Criollo has a roasted peanuts at a baseball game aroma to me. They are one of the most consistent medium-body, medium-full flavor....that I have smoked.

I also see minor similarities in the Exodus Silver, but the Silvers must have Age to be comparable.

Of all the CAO's.....IMO, the Criollo is the most under-rated....but possibly the one that CAO is most proud of as far as taste and quality goes. Brazilia taking a close second. JMO though...

The boxes are pretty damn sweet too.

I don't taste too much sweetness either.

Or atleast the subtle sweetness that I would find in a quality maduro, or cammie.

I don't get any sweetness but a good bitter.

CT makes the CAO Criollo and the Silver, so there should be similarities, although the CT is definitely a richer blend imo. are you sure it's not a citrus bitter, tony? (I will win you over....)

I prefer the criollo over the Silver by a landslide.

No it is a bitter like a good coffee may have or a Scottish ale.

Love the Crillo's, i have a 3rd of a box of Silvers with a yr's worth of aging on them and they are just AWESOME.

But in all reality, both the Silvers and the Crillo's suck. So stop bidding on them dammit..
