Thank you guys! Actaully we got married almost 7 years ago but I was still in school then could not afford a real wedding. I knew she always wanted one but we had a lot of family reponseiblity over the years and just could not afford it. I am glad we finally were able to do it this year cause I have gained over 50 lbs since then and she complaints I dont look as cool as I was anymore. See, I still think I look okay 🙂

50 pounds?! What are you up to now? 145?

I wish I could have hidden the 50ish I've gained since I got married that well. LOL!

Andy,
My wife and I did the same thing.
We had a very simple wedding 10 years ago but I knew she secretly wanted to be the princess and do it up big. Last year we went down to the Queen Mary in Long Beach with some good friends and relatives in tow and had a formal wedding/vowel renewal ceremony on board the ship. It was great and the wife has made up two formal wedding albums to commemorate the occasion.

It's never too late to do it up right!

Guys, I appreciate all the nice comments, lol @ snowwolf, no I actually have a good size belly ? I am about 175 now. I was very skinny when I was in school because I did not have any money for food and never had an 8 hours sleep days.... Smelly, flyboy and John, would love to herf with you guys sometimes.

Allow me to share a story about me and my wife with you all. We met when we were in junior high and started going out since 10 grades.
When we got married, I was still in college and could not afford to take the whole day off, I had to work in the morning and rush to the county court house to do the ceremony in the afternoon. No honeymoon trip of course, can't even afford a ring.

College was very tough for me cause I have to pay foreign student tuitions and that's about 3 times more than in state tuitions. Besides I can only work on campus and make minimum hourly wages because the lack of US work permit. I always have 2 part time jobs and sometimes even 3, days and nights working in the computer labs, washing dishes in the cafeteria..... I always carry full loads too. At least 19 to 22 credit per terms (12 is the minimum full time) so I can graduate faster and don’t owe so much and though it all I still manage to keep my grade up and get some help from scholarship.

It was the worst time in our life that we basically lived off of bargain can foods, we even fell behind on rent and ran up the credit cards, I never even have a soft drinks not to mention eating out..... So many times, I wanted to quit and leave this country and so many times people tell my wife to leave me because I was so poor. I was even homeless once for a few days……….. but I never gave up, graduated with honor, half way through my master, got a job, got my green card and citizenship, got my stock option, bonus and most of all my PRIDE as a man that I can finally provide for my family.

We stick through a lot of tough times together and we finally made it okay today. We are not rich but comfortable; at least we don’t have to worry like we were before and I just want to made it up to her, she deserved to have a formal weeding.

One more thing, I love this country and I honestly believe that if you work hard enough you can be successful in America.
