had a CAO MADURO (red label but did not say L'lanversario on it - OLD?) from a BOTL in a trade. I am not usually a "DARK" side enjoyer but.. damn this was fine!

Was very creamy and box press and I fully enjoyed it. Would surely buy and try these again. Am I being drawn to the dark? I have had other maduro's that were not a good fit in my flavor profile but this was one of the most enjoyable ones i have ever had.

Is it a not a "L'ann" ? it only says MADURO on the band. Very good stick. I will be watching for these. Thanks to the BOTL that gifted it to me and showed me the way... 🙂

Schmitty, I believe that CAO dropped the L'anversario on the latest releases.

Earlier I had a Bassdude mystery cigar. Right now a Camacho Diploma Maduro.

I am smoking a big bowl of Latakia tobacco through my new Kirsten pipe. This thing smokes like a dream. The coolest smoking pipe that I have ever used. If it were not raining I would consider lighting up something Padronish, but it is not meant to be.

Sorry to hear that its raining in your neck o' the woods Jayme...

Clear as can be here in Fargo. Just smoked my first Punch Royal Selection #12 ISOM. Smoked like a dream. Awesome Cuban flavor... Glad I still have a few more 😉

Took your suggestion and had some homebrewed iced tea with fresh lemon slices. It really played well with the cigar... 🙂

Have been in an odd cigar mood lately...

I think it has to do with recovery from my Lenten cigar drought. You see going 40 days without a cigar reset my palate. I went from smoking full bodied cigars to none. Now I have to build my palate back up. (That Bahiba is a nice cigar, though the band and name are tacky and belong on a closeout cigar).

I've been smoking mild - medium bodied cigars lately and tonight the wife and I smoked the CAO Earth Nectar (chianti infused). I am a CAO fan and I don't like saying anything negative about a CAO product so I'll keep my review to myself.

Salvaged the evening with a CAO L'Anni Cameroon Napoleon though 🙂

BTW hdking, the Boli Petit Coronas were my normal smoke before my drought. Great friggin' cigar!

addendum: Noticed people were including drinks; I drank some Chai tea with my cigars tonight.

Hey Jay, how's it going?

Yeah, it was too bad about the rain last night, but we do need it. I don't think that my lawn is ever going to green up.

Right now (6:55 am) we have some thunder and lightning and about a half inch of accumulated hail (slightly less than pea sized).

What the f**k?

Late last night, I broke down and had an ISOM Monte #2.

It was wonderful despite not getting much time in my humidor.
