Sitting on the front porch during a thunderstorm and enjoying a nice cigar with an adult beverage. In this case, a Flor de Cano Habana with some Cigar Malt.

Funny you should post this. I was talking with someone yesterday and describing that very thing. But my experience was cut short. Everything was great, the lightning and thunder was putting on an entertaining show and it had cooled off.

All of a sudden there's this bright flash and loud crack instantly. It was loud enough to make my ears ring. Lighting had hit in the backyard of the house across the street from my house. No damage was done but it was enough for me to decide to head inside.

You got that right....one of my favorite things to do in the summer and one of the best additions to my house was putting a roof on my back deck.

There's even one in the forcast tonight!

Funny you posted this. Last night I was sitting on my front porch waiting for a t-shower to arrive. Luckily, we didn't get much of a storm, but I do enjoy sitting outdoors under such conditions with a cigar. As for buying a hot tub to put the spouse & kids in....

I'm there with you guys, I can't wait! I like to herf in a good thunderstorm too. One thing that can be really cool is camping and herfing. I recall hiking up a mountain with a backpack on and a bad storm moved in. We squatted with panchos on like toad stools. Low to the ground reduces any chances of being hit. And the storm usually only lasts a few minutes and cools everything off nicely.
