Last night, between thunderstorms, I was able to have one of these, the Uhuru (5x47).

This was in fact my first Montecristo and it lived up to the reputation I've read about. The construction, burn and draw were all near perfect. This little guy produced lots of smoke too!

While this cigar had a lot of various (and quite enjoyable) flavors it lacked the strong Cameroon flavor I like so much (the tobacco within was quite sweet, but not the typical Cameroon sweetness). This isn't a negative though, it was a VERY flavorful cigar, one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd say it was on the mild to maybe medium side.

I'd really recommend this cigar if you're looking for something different (and really good too!). On a side note, this Afrique worked very well with a bottle of the new Sam Adams Chocolate Bock (VERY expensive!). Great combo.

I've got a box of the Uhuru on the way. I had tried a Sublimation that a friend had given me & was impressed.

Love them all. Have 4 boxes of the Sublimation. Never seen CBID carry them though. Wish they would.

I think I'm going to have to light up that Sublimation you gave me Dave (dccrens). It sounds like a winner!
