My local shop had 4 or 5 boxes of these things so I picked up a few singles. I had the original thanks to jd1 (churchill size)but these are new. Tissue wrapped in individual coffins at $13.80 ea. Some to collect and some to trade at big party this weekend!

Nice. I've not seen the new 2004s yet as I'm still smoking on the 2002s from the 50ct box. And although I've tried to make myself do it, I've not found the time to smoke one of the 2003 Libertys in the coffin (got 3 left)...maybe this weekend so as to get a reference point. What I have found about the Camacho limited series is that although good off the shelf, these morph into one nice complex smoke after a year or so. Which reminds me, my Diploma stash is getting painfully low...

Looking forward to the review on the 2004. Be sure to hold one back for aging if you can!

The 11/18 are just another of the corojo line. Looks like you paid dearly for it. Let me know if you would like more info. stargazin4 at aol. Make sure to mention Comacho Liberty in subject.

Oohhh...sorry to jack your thread a bit, but I just smoked a Diploma maduro last night. To be honest with you, I was terrified of it. The thing just looks scary. But it was sooo good. Not as strong as I expected (thank god), and I would definitely recommend it to Camacho lovers. Next up, the Monarca maduro.

Are the 2004 coffins numbered like the 2003's ?

stargazin4: There's actually a new 11/18 Liberty Series in addition to the "regular" 11/18 corojo. It's a 20-ct box instead of 18, and MSRP is $13.50 per cigar (!). We should have a shipment landing soon.

Thanks Kieth.

They are numbered but I believe by box and not individually. Each single box has a number, but they are all the same and out of the same box. I put a photo up.

It the 11/18 Liberty the one with pre-embargo cuban filler?

Cheers

I have had one sitting in my humidor for a few weeks. Reading this thread makes me seriously consider smoking it tonight...it has been a rough day. It is the big long one that comes in the coffin box. Usually Camachos kind of scare me. First, I'll have to smoke a Helix or something in order to get the taste buds warmed up.

Smoked a Liberty 2003 last night... HUGE gar... it kept going and going and going... Very good, but builds to a very strong, full bodied smoke... started to get to me by the end... but still smoked that mother to about 1"... couldn't let it get the best of me... ;o)

Just got one of those, from Turnberry, in my boxpass. I think I am going to let it rest, at least until Independence day. But maybe until next, years Independence day.

Gotto love those higher archy's involved in their cigars, like Christian, who appreciates us CBidders.

BTW I love the SLR line and 2003 Liberty, smoked one and got two left. Now I'm looking to purchase/aquire some of the 11/18 Liberty. California prices are waaaaaaaaaay up there due to taxes.

I like it when boards like these are set up. Often times there are many questions that could be answered. So please feel free to comment.

You can also make suggestions, those too are important. Thank you.

Love the Liberties - they make excellent gifts to my Troop friends too! I picked up two 11/18 liberties, but I really want to rest one for a while (as these get great with age) and gift one, but now I want to smoke one too! May have to see if they have any more left....
