Saw this under the "Blowouts" tab. $25 for 20 seems like a nice price. I would like to know how these are before possibly picking up a bundle. Anyone have these before ???

If it's good enough for the knowledgeable Smelly & Weezy Jefferson, it's good enough for me--I bit too!

Hey Weezy heard from George?

I can get them locally for less than $2. At this price they are worth having if you need coolerador filler. I'm a big fan of higher end Bahia lines.

I got a package of them last week. Very long cigar. I think they are longer than the description says. Not a bad tasting cigar at all. Nice draw and an even burn. Can't go wrong here if you stay under a 1.25 a stick. Don't expect them to stay 25.00 a bundle. By time the 8th rolls around they'll be at least 30.00 a bundle.

Thanks Jax. I had a feeling these were good for the price.

I believe all of the "B's" that have been up for auction, have been 8 inches long. One reason why I bit on these was the size...a little more modest at 6.

Borhani makes great cigars, and Tambor is, by far, one of the best factories in the World, IMO. Even their bundles cigars are tasty. For some reason their Costa Rican leaf tastes Way better than most to me.

I notice that CI has this going for $29.00.....the starting bid on CBID was $25.00; w/ shipping you save about 4 0r 5 dollars. IMO, this is lame; especially in light that the bidding has now increased to $26.00., our savings would only be $3.00.

CBID should have taken this into consideration and started the bidding lower, like around $10 or $15 dollars. They are profitting enough fromthe newbies overbidding; they could spare it!

IMO, CBID's day has come and gone........I can browse the web and find better deals than are being expressed here.

I didn't bite. But apparently this offering did appeal to quite a few. I suspect CI will even sell a few more at $29.

ALMOST everybody is happy...

I'm beginning to get buyer's remorse. Don't think that I'll re-up my bid past $25. Besides, Bahia cigars are good but not all that...(as he shakes his head a la fatso Ophra).

Scott is correct.

I pay $39/yr for a cigar price search service & can get much better deals than cbid's. However, their honesty & customer service is umatched!

I disagree completely!!!!

CBid can occasionally draw a large number of people to a few "featured" type auctions of the more expensive cigars.

I could list the links of past and current auctions, where I pretty much stole the item, it was so cheap. If you think about it, any other site would give you "Out of Stock", and you'd move on to find it. You atleast have a chance at CBid, and guaranteed a great product.

As far as CI and CBid not putting a large gap between the price on Bahia B maduros......Not a Big Deal!.....they are cheaply priced at both places, so who cares.

I probably won't raise my bid to 26.00 either, because they are a ton of other deals to be had...but if you bid on them....I hope they are great for you....but if you didn't, Don't knock em' till you tried em'. I hope I win them at 25.00, and anyone who didn't go for the deal....I'll share.

Dave,

I am a Bahia lover. I know of a place where I can get the unbanded, tabacalera Tambors for a mere $19.00 a bundle. The only reason I bit on this one was because of the size; It looks as if it is the "B" for the "Gigante". To bid beyond the $25.00, to me, is foolish.

I agree. There are deals to be had. However, they are becoming less and less these days.

I passed on this one, but I have done some great scores lately, along with some better than regular joe type deals.

Thats what I've been saying............they need to bring these in at a lower price if they want to call it a "blowout", otherwise, the term is a misnomer.

Man, no good deed goes unpunished! LOL

If the starting bid is a dollar above cost at CBID but 5 bucks above cost at CI, to me all that means it's a blowout on both sites. Truth is, I just wanted to liquidate these cigars and $25 is as sharp in price as it could get.
