I finally made it to a Seattle herf on June 8th, and while my expectations were high, I was not disappointed. Those guys are really top notch. I was 3rd to arrive, with my friend Coho, to meet turnberry (The Godfather, he must of liked me because I'm still alive), and Smelly4tay (yeah THE smelly4tay). We take our seats and right away the smokes are flying around, and with these guys there's no keeping up, you may as well bring your whole damn collection. One by one some of these boards best starting arriving; Kazama, Johnfs, redsquid (in a cool Derby hat, and who got the "Coolest cigar case" award), DBguru -who is a very genuine and likable fellow, and last to arrive before I had to leave was Don Johnson, who, like myself, is a motorcyclist, so we had a nice talk as I was headed out. It was great meeting each person and I am really looking forward to the next time I can herf with these fine BOTL. Thanks guys, it was a hoot.

I'm sorry i didn't get to meet you guys who came early. I showed up around 9pm and we only had about 4 herfers left. Great time guys, it was great to see ya'll again.

The pleasure was ours. We need to get the RTA to build special lines to make it easier for you out of towners to make it over (we could get herf trains running everywhere with the tobacco taxes alone).

Thom,

Like Redsquid said....the pleasure was ours. It was really great getting to meet you and Coho, and pass a few good smokes. Thank you for making the 100+mile trek to meet us strange folk.

...and thank you to everyone else for making yesterday, another Fine Herf day. We have a One-of-a-kind group.

It was great to see everyone. I got there just as Thom and Coho were leaving. I wish I had gotten there earlier to visit with you guy's.

Later a couple of friends of infiniterapture's showed up on two R1's. As we left it was raining and all they had was perforated leathers. I think they got wet going home.

I hope I gan make it to the next herf at the track. It should be great to have some of the farther away BOTL.

Thom, it was terrific meeting you and swapping sticks. Hopefully you will be able to make it to the Emerald Downs herf in July.

This was an interesting herf that evolved over time. There was the early group mentioned above, and then Don Johnson showed after a long drive up. Redsquid, JohnFS and I smoked with him until InfiniteRapture showed up with 5 or 6 friends, making us a full two tables again. I left just before midnight as the guys (and gal) herfed on.

Thanks to Thom and everyone else for all the sticks (thanks for the Ashton VSG, Godfather), and as Smelly says,

"We have the best herf group in the country!"

You Washingtonians always have a great time & enjoy camraderie. Tell us more.

All that was missing was a couple of easterners (Cavallo & me), a midwesterner (Chip), & the western toastmaster (Rickamaven)! Oh, and you can't forget the Hawaiian (Pablo)!

PS: After reading some of the political posts, this one is like a mental sherbet...Ahhh, my mind is clean again. I thought that I was a paleo-conservative until I got here! Now, I'm a liberal!? LOL
