How about a "fossil"?

F&SotL [father & son of the leaf, for describing what will be going on at some households]

Second one for me. I'll burn a La Luna maduro. It's the cigar I smoked the night my son was born 1 year and a half ago.

My father died 9/2/2001...did his funeral 9/9/01. Then 9/11 of course colors my memories.

I'll remember him bittersweetly with an ISOM....probably PSDEL and Lagavulin.

my 3 kids are furry and quadripeds (dogs). since they don't have opposable thumbs, i doubt they've managed to make me a card or buy a tie for me. *chuckle* but i'll have a nice smoke on dad's day and toast all the good men out there who are good fathers all the same.

Tony, my kid is also a furry quadriped, and she always manages to get me a suprise for fathers day. I guess it's that father-daughter relationship thing...she knows when I pull a cigar from the big humi downstairs it's time for her walk to the lake. (jump, bark, circles)

FOTG (Father Of Three Girls)

That is a unique designation which causes premature baldness (very advanced in my case), alternate weight loss and gain (as they experiment with cookie recipies), extreme anxiety (when a boy calls the house...because I know what they are thinking and what they want), the need to have a cigar moment (not a bad thing). Unfortunately...those symptoms are mostly due to the oldest of the three..(high school cheerleader)...the other two are only surpassed in their cuteness by their ability to throw tears at a moment's notice.

Lastly...one of the major symptoms of FOTG is the inability to say "no" when confronted by three (sometimes four) sets of sad eyes accompanied by "Oh daddy pleeeeeeease?"

I'm a FOTL of a 4&2 year old and a SAHD (stay at home dad). Last 6 months now. Hardest job I've ever had. Don't believe me......try it!

Think I'll have a VSG.

*genuflects* chthiele and rayder -- that's very, very scary! 🙂 may god give you the strength to keep up, say no sometimes, keep up again, and generally keep your wits about'cha!

la -- awwww, so you get a real show when it's cigar time, eh? my furry kids just tend to look at me funny and leave the den when i light one up, but they have a fenced-in backyard -- they only need me to open the gate, and the smallest has figured out how to do THAT on her own now; soon i'll be obsolete!

MY father-in-law introduced me to cigars so literally he can be called this. For father day I am getting him a selection of smokes from the humi, but my brother-in-law is going to outdo me....he got him a PAM 1926 number six which has been sitting in my humi for a week now just tempting me. I'll be sad to see that perfect little devil go.

2 boys (13, 7)

2 girls (11, 3)

I remember when my birthday was the best day of the year. Now it pales in comparison to Father's Day. Gotta love it!
