Has anyone tried the Genuine Counterfeit Cubans, be it regular or the pre-embargo ones? I'm wondering if they are worth sampling.

I tried them reluctantly, did not know they came pre-embargo, and was pleasantly surprised. If memory serves it was a decent spicey smoke.

Yeah, they do have a pre-embargo style. Costs around $2 a stick in boxes of 50 or just a fiver. Guess I'll have to try both.

The pre embargos are much stronger than the the regular genuine counterfeits. The pre embargos are very good ... but inconsistancy in the rolling of them will leave you with some duds... but not too many. A few will be rolled to loosley I have gone thru 100 of them and find them a good buy.

Thanks for the input! I ordered a 5 pack this AM. Should be here Wednesday; by Friday I will have one lit and will let you know what I think.

Got my cigars early! Couldn't let them sit without trying one. I am pretty happy with my taste test. These are good - and potent - but smooth enough to enjoy to the nub. Now I guess I'll have to let them set for a while and revisit them.

I agree with you so far, I've had some and really enjoyed them. I also think they'll get really nice with some age on them. We'll see!
