That's right...laundromat! I went in to wash 4 sleeping bags so they'd be ready for the next trip and noticed the attendant smoking a cigarette. I was the only patron at the time so I asked her if it was okay to light up. She says "sure." Thinking the whole process of wash and dry would take a couple of hours I lit and really enjoyed a Sherpa Presidente while reading "Warfare in the Classical World." So, if you're looking for an out of the ordinary place to smoke a cigar, try the laundromat!

Great story.

What do you think of the Sherpa Prez. I've stored several in the humi for about 6 months. I also have a bunch of toros. Upon smoking my first toro a few months ago the only characteristic that came to mind was; amonia!

I've smoked for many years, and this is the only cigar I have ever deemed unsmokable! I'm hoping a few months / years of rest will yield more notable tones.

If ya wanna trade, I'd be happy to send them your way.

Club3006,

I like the Presidente - a little sweet, not too powerful, and I can stand up when the cigar's done. The real problem is the time it takes to smoke one - allow 2 hours minimum. For me that means smoking one while waiting for something to happen, like washing camping gear. Thanks for the trade offer, but the 3 I have left will probably hold me for a while.

That would be a cool place to smoke since I occasionally have to spend a couple hours washing horse blankets.

But..alas...I live in California...no smoking in businesses.

I have not tried the Presidente, but I sure like the Sherpa robusto. Makes me feel like I'm in farmland again.

Count me out of a smoke friendly laundromat. I don't want my newly washed clothes to smell like smoke. I'm all for prohibiting smoking in some places.
