i meant to ask this awhile back -- i notice that the band for this smoke looks a LOT like the fonseca, and the two also share a similar looking CT shade wrapper.

is the JdJ anything like a fonseca nattie? are these supposed to be a fonseca knock-off?

I got two boxes of the Joya Del Jeffe's, and they are pretty good in their own right, but not anything like a Fonseca...though they do bear some superficial resemblance. Good for the price, but a pretty one-dimensional taste without a lot of complexity. Makes a good Drivin' around smoke, or a good one to smoke on a windier day outside. But by no means a Fonseca.....

really cheap and really enjoyed them..

Won a five pack a year or so ago and

they are NOT the same cigar.. cigar boom

oops...you're right cayman, I did mean "joya del jefe". After all, I'm a scientist; not a writer...

ah! thanks for the correction, cayman! i knew that "de" didn't sound quite right on the tongue. 🙂

EI: thanks for your opinion of it; that's what i suspected, but one can always hope for a less expensive knock off of a good cigar that actually tastes good, too. 😉 alas, the search goes on.
