Just wanted to rant briefly about people bidding higher on here than they can actually buy retail on CI's own website. Are people just lazy? Or do they just not know any better? 😞

At the end of the day almost all of us have a bunch of cigars, that were won at a great price. Some people just choose to pay more.

The "Overbidding" crap threads are now more than a "dead horse".....they are clogging up the C&R board.

Even though it is a dead horse, one can't help but comment when someone is bidding a certain amount for a 5-pack that would almost pay for a 10-pack of the same cigar if they only looked around a little bit.

I am starting to think that ANYBODY who complains about overbidding, can't afford the cigars they are looking at anyway....even at lower prices. It's pathetic!!!!!

We just need a perpetual overbid thread. Then anyone who feels the need to vent about it can post it there, keeping all the posts in one thread. Those who don't want to see it can choose not to click on it. 🙂

Hegemonic: an "overbid" is when someone bids more than the retail price. E.g., AF 858's in the 5-pack list are currently at $25-27 when a 5-pack can be bought from CI's website for $20

you know....i used to be mildly irritated at the veterans who, instead of either answering the question or not posting at all, would get on the newbies for not doing a search before posting "cello on or off" type crap. After all these overbidding threads, I think I now understand.

Yea, it's gotten real bad lately. Some people just HAVE to win the lot no matter what the price. The sales here at Cbid are doing better that the reg site. They're screwing us poor folks out of some reasonable deals. I feel better losing a lot and to know somebody paid more than retail cause they did'nt shop!
