Anyone ever smoked a Cuba Libre cigar from Nicaragua??

yes

I don't keep notes [but of course, I should]

My recollection of it being a decent smoke for a price of about $1-$1.50 per cigar. [Recalled as buy more, but not as a high priority]

Yup, and it actually wasn't such a bad cigar, considering the price. A little one-dimensional in the taste department, but all the ones I've smoked have burned evenly and the construction is pretty solid. Anyone know who makes 'em?

I believe there are 2. The 1st, which I am familiar with, is the Jose Marti Cuba Libre line. Is an affordable everydayer. Kind of a meat & potatoes cigar. They also have a Dominican bundle Jose Marti Cuba Libre, which I haven't smoked.

The 2nd is just called Cuba Libra & am not familiar with it.

Earlier post was regarding CL, not JM. However, as Hat notes, the JM is a solid performer. For a while, I was going through JM by the box [I'm a meat & potatoes kinda guy] Like any other cigar, it isn't for everyone's tastes, but by golly I surely loved them with some aging

I haven't had one in years, but I remember them clearly as being ordinary and undistinguished ... not an objectionable or offensive cigar, but no jewel either ...
