Hello to all. My first time posting on the forum. If I am in the wrong area, my apology.

I bought a box of the Cupido's at $35. I smoked one, and, I am just not enjoying this cigar.

I usually on by a box when I know I like it, but the price won me over. Anyone else disappointed ?

Any ideas on what to do with the remaining 21 ? ( I gave 3 away).

Thanks

CParker

I got in on the same deal. I have yet to try one since it took quite a while to get here and they are a bit DRY!

But, I have purchased many a box of Cupido's, maybe my fav morning smoke, and have never been dissapointed.

I would post my e-mail addy but SOME people here might think I was initiating a trade on thh C&R board! Heaven forbid. But if I were to give you my addy it would be (username) at myway dot c

Cparker,

If you are sure you don't like them, as mydsooner said, head over to the trade board, I am sure you will have no trouble trading them for what you like.

Also, see if you can find the newbie trade thread.

I got my box of these last week - the 35 dollar special. I noticed they had some foot swell and torn wrappers. However, the dang things still burnt even and true, and i really like the flavor - you have to be a lover of earthiness to appreciate. I'm hoping that they will get even better with time. Yes, I know they are supposed to be 7 years old. But this is what I don't understand - I probably need a FOG to answer this - why don't they show any bloom at all after 7 years in a box, with no wrappers??

Gee, glad I missed them, but I did win a box of Cupido Robustos for $37 before the special at 35 and mine are damn good! Great little cigar!

Just got my Cupido Limited Reserve box too! No wrapper, but no plume either. Smoked one yesterday and thought it burned fast due to being a bit on the dry side, but the flavor was still fine! Could be me, but I thought they tasted a bit different from the Cupido robustos I've had over the past year. A bit stronger, not quite as creamy. Could have been the dryness too. They're now sittin' in my coolerdor and gatherin' up moisture for another day!

oh yeah, definitely differences between churchill and robusto.....robusto sweeter, richer and more chocolate.....but churchill very smooth down to the last puff....watch out, price spike on the way....happens every time

Pulled one out last night. No wrapper issues, nice and oily...tasted fine just a bit dry.

Mine were a bit dry too. Got em a long time ago. Am not a big fan. Flavor profile is fine, but every time I smoke one my nose gets plugged up.

I do like the Cupido Criollo though.

Couldn't resist the special either. Arrived a week after the auction ended but had to try one right away. Never smoked these before so wasn't sure what to expect. A bit dry, smoke a little hot and wrapper showed some damage. Just finished one this afternoon and was way better. Even after only 6 days in the humi a big improvement, creamier, cooler and a nice even burn. Also the wrapper was visibly improved, taking on a more oily texture. I'll definitely keep these guys. Jeez, I'm starting to sound like a sommelier! May have to try something in a larger ring in this line.
