Does anyone have a "rules of a Group Buy" list?

I am in the process of organizing a group buy at work. Just looking for a little guidance.

Never done it, but I would imagine if the group is kept around 5 and the different boxes/sticks were not very large, it should be rather simple. I'd draw up a "contract" stating who gets what and who pays what. If the cigars split evenly, then you just have to haggle over the empty boxes.

But it may be more complicated than that. Others are more experienced.

Billy, that is the plan for now, sorta.

Looking for guidance for the future. The guys seem receptive so far. I would like to be prepared for a better, bigger one.

Thanks

There really isn't any rules except the ones you make up. Usually as the coordinator you would dictate how and when you want to be payed.

If the decision on what to buy is being made as a group I would suggest that you start by inquiring how much everyone wants to spend and how many boxes they wish to aquire. After that suggestions are made as to what to buy with the available funds.

If you have already picked out the box/boxes then really you just dictate as I stated earlier what the price is and what they are getting for that price and how they will be delivered.

It's pretty simple really.
