Anybody else collect cigar antiques? I just bought a few things that will help decorate my cigar room. I have a 1954 solid brass ashtray from India, a small Benson and Hedges cigar box from the 1920s, and a cigar jar from the 1880s or 1890s. What does everyone else have?

My step mother in law is an antique dealer and I have great hooks for these things so I just got started collecting. I have two antique humidors so far.

One is an upright brass cylinder from 1900 or so. The other is an oak 50ct lined with metal from about 1915. Both in excellent condition. I am going to sell some pieces like this in my cigar shop.

Mostly old cigars, boxes and a couple ashtrays. I have several 100+ year old cigars (in good condition), a Calvin Coolidge for President large torpedo from the 1920's and roughly 100 various cigars ranging from 40 to 100 years old, including some cubans. I have smoked a few of these old cigars, and found some of them to be surprisingly good.

I am also thinking about buying an antique table humidor for my smoking room. Some of those old cigar signs look really cool too, but I try to conceal my smoking habit from my kids (I only smoke when they are a sleep).

I forgot to mention...I was in a shop a couple of weeks ago and they had a cigar dispenser from the 1850s. I almost got it, but it was out of my price range. It had 6 doors that swung out with 3 cigars apiece when you turned the top. It was really cool and it was in great condition.

I collect anything related to tobacco, old tobacco tins, old cigarette tins, I have several very old pipes that belonged to either my gandfather or great gandfather. One of the pipes is a beautiful carved Indian head, another is in its own velvet lined case. I also collect way to many other things, I need to narrow it down some.

I have a collection of several hundred old cigar bands (many date to the 1890s and range up to the 1940s) and a nice group of vintage cigar labels from boxes. I also have a collection of tobacco-themed matchcovers (featuring ads for cigars, pipe tobacco, cigarettes, vending machines, etc.) I posted a few pictures here a long time ago--you might be able to do a search for them.

Early 20th century pipe stand and pipes, 3 or 4 medium metal pipe tobacco tins, unused cigarbox labels(to be framed eventually), and some very old cigar boxes. Need more room before I can add to my collection.
