How does the Bucanero Full Sail compare with the Padron 4000 Maduro. I've had the Padron and loved it, but have never tried the Full Sail, just want to know if I might like it or not.

I prefer the padron, It's just a matter of

taste and preference.

I have tried just about all of the

bucs and padrons and have yet to smoke a

buc that made me want to run out and get

another,at the same time my neighbor prefers

any buc over a padron even the PAMS (my favorite)

So it's just a matter of taste.

I prefer most of the Buc line over most other non-isom cigars, especially the Salsa, Full Sail, El Capitan Peg legs and Clasico Maduro. But the Padron X000 series of maduros is a fabulous cigar too, well constructed and great flavor.

But, as has been said, this is all subjective to your personal taste. Hope you enjoy the Full Sail as much as I do.

it's like apples and oranges.........

Padrons are some excellent smokes, the 4000 line is real good, I've got some (2 left) with 2 years on them and they are just as creamy as the PAM's belive it or not, The Full sail is a hell of a smoke, have not had the chance to have one with age, although I am currently hiding some for a later date. Both cigars are superb and if it was up to me, I'd take an aged padron, but if you didn't have an aged 4000, I would choose the full sail!!!!!

I don't know if I would compare them to 'apples and oranges', althought they are definately different blends ...

... I do know for a fact, that Padron is one of Robert Spodens 'benchmark' cigars (if that THE cigar) when it comes to producing the Bucanero lines, and he has great respect for Padron and the blends they use, the contruction, and the quality of their cigars.

I also know that it is a goal of his company to reach those high standards of a cigar manufacturer he deeply respects ...

Absolutely.

I will say that I smoke more Buc Full Sails than Padron 64 maddies not to mendion any of the thousand series. Better value than the '64s and a consistent blend that ages incredibly well and keeps its punch. Buc Full Sail is my fav stash; And with some serious age (1+ years), they are sublime. When I'm jonesing for a '64, I'll grab a ploomed Full Sail and a fav libation and it's all good.

Padron is a better value.
