LMAO! This is my Bro-in-Law, Dustin(buddhastalin), a few nights ago at his house. This particular chicken is special because it is extremely fat, and it belches when you walk near it.

I have got a "Choking Chicken"!!!

Well I cooked this chicken up today. The first one I raised and put on the table. Suprisingly butchering it was the easy part. Unfortunately I overcooked it (baked it in a red thai curry) and it got tough. Or perhaps it was allready tough. Well I'm sure I'll have better luck next time!

So Dustin.....what you are trying to say is.....the meat was a little belchy?

how do you kill it? inquires mind want to know 🙂 Becuase I used to see my mom do it when I was a kid and it look ....... (well messy) i always thought that gotta be a better way to do that.

Yatang, I used a large baseball bat like stick and clubbed them right on the back of the neck where it meets the head. I would say i have had better luck chopping the head off with one cut and a sharp heavy knife. Either way it isn't fun and definately not a pretty sight. It sounds like you turned out okay though, after all its just food. I raise these guys mostly for the eggs and because they are weird animals. They will peck the ash right off your stogie! I'll have to make smelly an omelette and he can review.......Maybe I'll post some pics of my favorite birds later.

ah... I see, thanks for explaining. hmm, my mom never wacked the chicken first, she just pick them up and slit the throat and then drian the blood while the chicken still kicking around....... I watched enough of that, those Halloween movie doesn't scare me at all 🙂

No trauma there. I took the picture, and it was an animal-friendly pick-up off the ground. To get the sheer magnitude of how fat this chicken was......Dustin's hands were getting lost in the chicken lard and feathers. It then......tried to kick itself in the head......Oh O.K.....maybe it didn't.
