I got some Caliber II digital hygrometers. Anyone know why their maker is so anti-salt test?

Anyone know where I can get a shpo?

I think the theory is that the salt would somehow harm the delicate electronics. I have it on good authority from learned men of science that this is not so. Table salt does not permeate the air during a salt test like say....salt from the ocean does. Western had some bad components for awhile(LED displays). Evidently they were very good about replacing faulty units. Last I heard, the problem was solved.

Yeah, I recently returned a unit with a faulty LCD and was almost shocked at how quickly a brand new unit arrived at my doorstep.
