Also got a 5 pack of Buc Clasico Maduro robusto. Hadn't tried any Bucs before. Might as well get wet while I'm at it.

Blah blah blah... BeatDragon smoked a Bucanero once... etc. etc. etc... blah blah blah.

I have 2 boxes. The first yielded quite a few plugged, cheek blasters. From what I gather from the folks here, I was probably just unlucky. The 2nd has been great so far. I put the 1st away for awhile.

I think they're pretty good smokes. I hit on them when they're goin' for closer to $4 rather than 6. At 4 bucks, they're well worth it (if you don't get a plugged box).

If I get another plugger, I may contact CBid for an exchange.

Bucs are aways shipped 'too wet' to help them make it through the possible long transit times in shipment ...

... 'dry-box' them awhile, you'll see ...

Funny thing, on another 'well-known' cigar forum out there in cyberland, there are many who are also big Bucanero Cigar fans ...

... one guy posted that he considered the Full Sail to be the, 'poor man's PAM.'

I never heard that one before ... but it's very fitting.

I've heard YOU call them that, Slim... in so many words. I DO see the flavor profile similarity, but I still think that's pushing it a bit.

I agree with the drybox idea, Slim that's why I opened my 2nd box. The first batch has been hovering around 67% since january. Funny thing is the first one I had from box 1 (and only that first one) was incredible, while ALL of the ones I've had from the 2nd batch have been great.

I would think 7 mos. would be enough, wouldn't you agree?

I guess it's time to try that one more I was referring to above.

"They Suck" and "Cheek Blasters."

BD, I think you need therapist. I get frequent flyer milage with mine and look what he's done to, I mean for, me. Ahem.

sketcha --- I've compared many of the Bucanero to the Padron lines ... not exclusively the Full Sail to the PAM.

The reason I say this, is because I have talked 'face to face' with Robert Spoden, and he told me himself, that he has great respect and admiration for Padron and his wonderful cigars ...

... and what he is striving to accomplish with his cigars, is to reach the standards of quality and taste of what he considers to be one the the 'greatest' in the cigar world.
