Last fall I obtained the Cigar Visa Card, for not only do I get a credit card with cigars on it, but as a bonus I received a free five pack of Montecristo's, say no more there I was in! Anyway, Montecristo's are okay, I was planning to smoke another one a few weeks ago, stuck my hand in the cabinet and pulled it out, then light it up, and suddenly I thought, man this is the best Montecristo I ever had, what a meaty rich flavor! Then I looked closely at the band, and it wasn't a Montecristo, but a Primo Del Rey! They have very similar bands and I mistook it for a Montecristo when reaching in the cabinet. I won a five pack on auction and these had aged five months before I accidently smoked it. Man what a tasty cigar, and I called CI to order a box of Churchill's, only $59! But I think the key is to age them.

abbie, i am learning that age seems to improve all cigars (except for that punch punch i had this evening). i had gotten some te-amos in a sampler last august. had one...thought it harsh...forgot the other. ten months later, smoked the other...WOW!!! same with some erdms that were gifted me. puffed on one for an hour...never tasted a thing. nine months later...much, much better (but only as a morning cigar). this is getting to be too hard - planning what i want to smoke nine months in advance!!!

I figure in about a year and from then on, my life with cigars will be absolute bliss, for by then I will mostly be smoking cigars aged on average at least year. I now enjoy Bauza's bought last may from CI that are incredible, equally so with E Trinidad by Sosa, bought last July. But to pass the time until every cigar I smoke will be primed, I finish off the odds and ends, and cigars that I won't be buying again in future. I have found that most often it is the full flavored cigars that age the best, not too much happens with mild cigars.

Anticipation.....is making me wait.....
