Mrtelcom, he had a bogus contest. Tricked everyone into thinking he was a big shot for a cigar manufacturer. The winner was to get a couple of boxes of smokes. Had everyone involved looking up all kinds of cigar trivea.

I've got to say he did a good job.

how about all the hours that people sacrificed of their own personal time trying to research the answer? Some of these guys were up until the early hours of the morning Googling and researching an answer that never existed. How do you tell them, "big deal, nobody got hurt, and your time means nothing?"

Anyone who poses as someone else, especially as someone important in the cigar industry, and then 'scams' people into thinking that they are participating in a legitimate contest ... deserves to have his posting privileges revoked.

It IS a big deal ... when reputation is EVERTHING in the anonymous cyber-world. A persons word is all that many have to rely on, and honesty and reputation is everything.

I say good riddance ... a person that would do something like that, just to have a little fun at others expense, is not a true 'Brother of the Leaf' ...

... and needs to reevaluate the moral and ethical defects in his character.

Simmer down pimpstick, I don't belive there is a "buddy" I think it was all you simply because "travelenger's" first name wasn't Austin the last time you mentioned "him" it was david or something like that. The story has to many discrepancys. I agreed to do the trade with you because it was in the works before this all happend, and if the trade goes well then I will let people know the trade went well, but it is up to them as to wether they want to trade with you in the future and you ain't making any friends this way. By all rights you should fork over the boxes that were promised to the winner or at least make one helluva attempt to make it right. If you want to cancel the trade we have going thats fine I was doing it to help you out as a fellow BOTL but you seem to have proven yourself unworthy of that title. I can go to my local and buy Opus X's all day long, why should I send them to someone who pulls this crap then gets upset when he gets called on it. If you already sent your end, when it arrives I will still send mine but if you havent just keep it and the deal is off. Its up to you to make things righteous.
