Friend has the box of 5 someone bought him in Switz. Here is the deal.....

The outside cardboard box has the gold foil for the word "Cohiba". The individual cardboard boxes inside do as well.

However, the bands on the actual cigars have the "old style" band...which seems to be legit. Also, size and triple cap is on the money.

Does this sound right? (sorry no pics)

I know that there were some of the new releases with the old bands (Siglo VI I think) but I'm not sure about a mix of bands in the same package, especially on one of the other sizes, sounds a little off but you never know. Do the cigars have a legit appearance?

I was gifted a 5 pk of Corona Especials in which the boxes were the only thing legit. The bands were terrible (had the worst gold lettering I've ever seen) and the cigars were absolute crap!

Cohiba cigars are "the" most counterfited cigar, with that said they are also the hardest to counterfit, they are made of the best leafs and rolled by the best. The cigars should have a flawless wrapper, light in color and absolutly no veins or bumps, the foot should be perfect and the 3ple cap flawless. All in all smoke it, it will be creamy, smooth and have a ton of flavor, not to mention its complexity.

Billy - I'm not picturing this - can you post a pick? I've never heard of packaging like this and I don't think the factories do this, but maybe a retailer?
