Has anyone put together or seen a list of contracted brands by manufacturer. These would be brands that do not have their name as part of the product.

This could be a house brand or a cigar like CAO Brazilla which is made by Torano. I think you get the idea. I am looking for the “I didn’t know they made that brand, I will have to try one.”

I would like to know what cigars, quality cigar manufacturers such as Torano, Oliva, AF, Bucanero and Villizon ( some of my favorites ) manufactured without their name on them.

Thanks

GT

You can take Bucanero off the list ...

... ALL of their cigars will carry their name, and they don't make seconds ...

What about Tambor then?

What about Tambor then?

Which one ... Tabacalera Tambor in Esteli, Nicaragua, or Tabacalera Tambor in Costa Rica?

The Costa Rican factory Tabacalera Tambor, under the supervision of Don Douglas and Tony Borhani (manufacturer of Bahia cigars), produced the Pintor Cigars, for one example ...

... are you asking if these are like Bucanero cigars?

I guess what I'm trying to say, while also trying to understand where you are going with your qyestions ... is Bucanero does not manufacture and sell a cigar that does not have their name on them.

He was just using Bucanero as one example. This is a question I've considered, also. Thanks for asking it for me.

The Don Douglas Cabinet Selection I have is made by Bucanero, but does not say Bucanero on the band.

To give another answer to the question at hand, I really

like Sosa naturals, which are made by Fuente.

Colt45 --- you are correct, I completely overlooked that one ... but also did not say that their name had to be on the band. It does say Bucanero on the bottom and inside bottom of the box.

... since that was a tribute cigar to Master Blender Don Douglas Pueringer, and is a line meant to honor him when he retired, that is most likely the reason for 'their' name not being on the band or prominently displayed on the box ... 😉

Dang I didn't know Torano made the Brazilias. That explains a lot.

Does Perdomo make a bunch of cigars for other labels as well?

How about The Brick by Torano. Is that what you mean?

You gotta try the Bauza Pyramid. It's made by Fuente and is a damn tasty smoke!

I wonder if the Lusitania comes in "torpedo".

Sorry that was bad taste....but I couldn't resist.

LOL, I love the sick humor rayder. The name Lusitania must have some other signifigance to latinos. Partagas also has a Lusitania(Habano). I can't believe that they refer to the ship. Any one know the "other" meaning?

Lusitania, a Roman province approximately including current Portugal and part of western current Spain.

A citizen of Portugal is usually identified in English by the noun and adjective Portuguese, but can also be referred to as Luso or Lusitano (Eng. Lusitanian)

Expanding on GT's question. All these catologs that I get have lots of oddly-named brands in them. For example that "T" place has lots of "things" listed that I've never seen or heard of.

Does anyone know of a list that deciphers all these generic brands?

Torano: All Gurkhas, All La Perla Habanas, SOME CAOs (the good ones, I think), I THINK Sacubas, but they are on the mild side of most Torano products and I've heard one conflicting report on these.
