Just received the golden Xikar a beauty and it cut the cigar like butter nice and clean, in think its the rolls royce of cutter, had to order the silver one to.

I am on my second XiKar and they are the very, very best.....the only thing wrong, is when you loose one, you can't take any other kind of cutter! The best. Charlie

I have had my Xikar for over a year..............hands down the best cigar paraphernalia on the market! Until you tried the cutter you don't know what you have been missing.

I have two cutters, one for at work and one for home...They are excellent cutters...However, I've tried Jack's Palio and I gotta admit...It's as good as any Xikar

Well I must admit I'm a bit jealous Keith,up until now I thought I was the only one that had tried Jack's Palio.LOL.Cruiser you really can't go wrong with either one.The Xikar people do stand by their products though IMHO....

... and the Zino, Nat Sherman, and believe it or not, the Swiss Army Knife w/Cutter ... all excellent cutters.

Xikar's take a little getting practice getting 'one-handed' use down. The Palio is far easier to use, and is made by a company that makes surgical instruments. In my opinion, it's hands-down the best ... hell, it's even dishwasher safe!

Slimboli, I had a real fun time getting used to the XiKar, and I would suggest testing it on a Lone Wolf before use on a real cigar! This begs a question! What the hell are you putting a cutter in the dishwasher for? Charlie

... it's Palio ... LOL! And if you haven't tried one, you must. The Palio is not as pretty (except to maybe Batman), but the cut is far superior (I have several of both) ... Oh, BTW, I don't put my cutter in the dishwasher. I'm just stating one of the manufactures claims on how tough it is! I also read somewhere that most of the upscale cigar bars use them to cut their customers cigars ... because they can take the abuse. I think they state they can cut over 3,000 cigars before they need to be resharpened, that is, if they ever need to be resharpened ...

You have "several of both"!!! All I've got is 2 cheap $2.50 cutters! Damn Slim....I hopes to be like you someday 🙂 Seriously...Everytime I save up a few bucks, I end up spending it on cigars. A good cutter is important, but if I have nothing to cut....

All I got is a good boot. I set the cigar on the ground, step on the cigar holding it in place with the good boot, then pick the cigar up effectivley ripping the end off.
Jack's Palio is very nice.

Heck, I've got or had three bullet punches (just traded one to a co-worker for a lighter), three Xikar's (down to two, traded one for 5 ISOM's), five Palio's (down to one, sent the other four to jcrimmins, robnsue, Poker and Ralphanator) and two Highland Stainless w/brass rivets (sent one to my brother). Plus, a few plastic ones lying around ...

Not joking, Charlie ... there are in this world some decent and very giving people on these cigar forums. He made me the offer, and I accepted. One other gentleman traded me a box of ISOM Fonseca Cadettes for a box of my Napa Reserve Canary Islands ... plus he threw in a couple of OpusX'es, a Culebra Especial, a CAO Odyssey and numerous other premium cigars. Some people just like to trade ... it's fun, and you make some pretty good friends in the process.
