i had a nape (an amazon parrot that has a spot of yellow on his neck). first he bonded with makita, my blue and gold and he would bite me when i picked him up on my finger.

i moved him to another room and he bonded with zana, my african grey.

the horney little **** is in a breeding colony now and he can bond with who ever he wants.

he was a fair talker, but no bird can speak as well as a parakeet, the perfect bird, assuming you want a pet bird.

My Amazon likes to sing.
I have a Monk Parakeet (Quaker) that has a huge vocabulary and has conversations with me.
I have a pair of Alexandrine Parakeets which are the largest of the parakeet family (24+ inches tall) that are very beautiful but as breeders, don't talk.
