Did you notice where the bidders live? The land of outrageous tabacco taxes: Washington & California.

This might actually be a decent purchase price for those states. In any event, looks like I won't be bidding on these any time soon.

WOW! Well, they must really like 'em and not care if they pay more being they will cost about as much where they live anyways.

Funny how folks (including myself) will bring up the 'look at what they pay on tobacco taxes are where they live' ...

... that still doesn't make sense, when they can get them from the 'CI's retail site' for $64 a box ...

... unless they don't know about it ... 😉

Maybe there is some confusion over the "Habano" tag?

What really sucks is that most of these guys overbidding don't participate on the forums.

If they did, they'd be able to see all of the helpful advice on getting better prices. Perhaps then, we'd actually have a chance at bidding at a great price ourselves.

Oh well. They do keep CBid running for us, so I guess it's a good thing!

bid it up! that allows CI to buy more and give us another chance!

Nice medium body smoke with a good finish; prefer the churchills m'sef.

Shilo...Cigarbid(CB) is owned by Cigars International(CI). He's the link:

Thanks bud451 ... I just happen to get back to this thread, and probably wouldn't have if I hadn't seen that you posted.

I agree with Iecho4alpha. I guess these guys must have a lot of money to throw away.

For the record...

Last I knew, CBid prefers to be considered a seperate entity, but they are obviously in cahootz.
