Watch out hog some people on these boards will accuse you of making a politcal statement about the voters in FLA.

But really thats the mother of all storms even if the winds die down a bit it is still huge

If you've never dealt with hurricanes before, the above link is to color radar for all of Florida. Hurricane Frances is just starting to come into view. This radar will get quite dramatic over the next few days.

It's about on top of us now in the Tampa area.

God help those that are on the other side of this when it hits the warm waters of the gulf and has a jetstream to strengthen itself.

I've tied a life preserver around my #1 humi and taken my ankle tiedown off my surfboard and have that attached to it and me.

If one goes down, then we both go down.

Speaking of which(witch)...where's my wife?

We took a direct hit from this storm, the offical land fall Sewalls Point Fl. is less than a mile from where I live.

We got lucky, no real damage to my house except a few blown out screens on the lani. I also have 25 big pines down and a few Hickory trees. The new building code here requires that the house be designed for a wind load of 140 MPH and hurricane shutters for all doors and windows. A lot of my neighbors didn't fare so well, lots of roof damage.

The only other thing that was damaged was my computer, we had a power blink during boot up for the first time after the power came back on. The UPS was not working right and didn't go to battery properly. Good thing my wife has a computer....... I can get some bids in.
