I've been smoking for over a year now and a big part of the hobby is keeping a journal of how each cigar is. So here are a few stats

I have had 104 different cigars

out of those hundred and four, only three were cuban

The price of each cigar varies from 45 cents a cigar(Rosa Cuba), to 15.95 (CAO Brazilia Amazon)

my top ten rated cigars so far are:

10. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990

9. La Gloria Cubana Wavell

8. La Aroma de Cuba Churchill

7. Padron 3000

6. Victor Sinclair Revolution Hawkeyes

5. LGC series R #4 maddie

4. RyJ 1875 dreams

3. H. Upmann mag 46 ISOM

2. Montecristo no. 1 ISOM

1. Bolivar Fuerte Cuban Corona

Of the ten seven were traded/gifted to me (thats not to say I haven't bought more since) from generous BOTL's on the list. Thanks for all of the great cigars and heres to another eventful year

Over 100 different cigars in one year, that's pretty good!

Will you keep sampling, or stick with what you like now?

keep sampling...the highest rated cigar was a 9.6....I imagine that there will come a day when I get that perfect cigar. Until then I gotta keep on keepin on. I have settled on some regular must have type smokes. For the price I gotta go with Roly Robustos. They're dirt cheap and smoke better than a lot of better cigars. WHen I want to step up the experience a little more, I go with the Padron Londres because they are affordable and great. At breakfast usually I go with Gurkha class regent. Other than that I haven't really settled. I know what I like and don't like and things still suprise me now and then

With so many new cigars coming out all the time, I can't see myself ever settling down to a few favorites. I know guys who only smoke one brand, they stick with it and never try anything new. I am just the type of person that has to look through the entire humidor everytime I go to my local and always seem to find something I haven't tried yet. I have bought several boxes that were good deals, but mostly I like to buy fivers and singles for the varity. It's all about the search for the perfect cigar, as long as new ones are being made, there is always a chance that one better than the last will show up.

You got it Lizard! What sux is finding a cigar that you really like and finding out that they're no longer produced, and what's on the market is all there is! CI is good about handling alot of closeouts, so be careful about what you fall in love with! 🙂
