I get the impression that availability of many of the CAO brands is poor in many parts of the country. I was surprised to see a fiver of MX2 Rob for more than $30 this morning on CBID.

Here in Dallas, the shop I frequent has just about every size/line of CAO pretty much at retail, including Italia, MX2, and Brazilia Anaconda.

If anyone is interested, I would be willing to pick up any of the above at my local shop, and trade for a few higher end sticks.

I don't have a lot of humidor room, so I am primarily interested in trying a few rarer cigars...FFOX, Gurkha Centurian, La Aurora 100 Anos. Other suggestions welcome.

Please reply to this post with your proposal and email address.

It does seem odd. My locals do not carry any of the 3 mentioned but do have the anniversario line including the 65th.

I am set for now but may look you up later.

I been looking to buy a box of mx2's but cant even find them locally for under $130.

and cant get the italia at all.

I found a website for the ones i want in the right price range but shipping put it over $100 again.

I need to find some new resourses. I bid on that mx2 on cbid but $30 for 5? thats worse then the price i get them at inflated markup here.

Schmitty22,
I'll price the MX2 at the shop as well as the Italia and let you know. I may be able to help.

Any size in particular you're looking for?

Schmitty,

I have a friend who was able to get a box of Mx2 Robusutos for under $70. Not sure what the shipping was like but check out this site: www.showmecigars.com.

I don't think they show all that they have to offer on the website. You might have to call them if you can't find what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

I don't know what the deal is but I know I have been begging my local to get some Italia's in and they haven't got them yet (even thhough he swears he ordered them) I had to beg him to get the brazilia's in as well (at 14.95 a stick I get one every now and then) he had MX2's for awhile but those sold out quickly. Maybe it is a geographic thing I don't know.
*threadjack on*
one of the reasons that I don't think he carries them is because his house brand maduro tastes somewhat similar to the Brazilia and he's always trying to cram those things down my throat. To me they're like a cheap knock-off but he tells me that everyone chooses his over CAO hands down. Its like if you walk in the place and DON'T buy one of his house brands you're some kinda jerl. It would be different if he didn't charge ten bucks per cigar for them. Any of you encounter the same thing?

I can't touch $70 per box for MX2...I am paying local retail price, after all. But, I just checked and found the following at the shop:

Box pricing for all ~10% off single stick price

CAO MX2
Rob $4.80, Toro $5.20 Currently out of the Beli

Italia
Ciao $5.50, Gondola $6.80, Piazza $7.50

Brazilia
Ipanema & Samba $6.30, Gol $5.50, Piranha $4.39, Anaconda $8.50
