Anybody tried these? Did a search here but didn't find a review. The description (below) tempted me into submitting a rediculously low bid .....

"The exclusive “Leather Patch” series from La Vieja Habana is a high-end puro that will impress you from the start. Limited to only 25 retailers in the country, "Leather Patch" is very different from both the Early Years and the economical Blue Box blends from La Vieja Habana. Check this cigar out: the wrapper is a shiny, smooth, authentic West African leaf that’s draped over an all-Nicaraguan long-leaf blend. Upon lighting, some serious spices instantly greet the palate, tickling the tip of the tongue. After the full and flavorful start, it mellows fast, developing a woodsy, smooth, leathery flavor - a very eventful smoke, burning even and true, holding an appealing salt and pepper ash throughout."

...Well my rediculous bid WON...WOO-HOO !!!!

There are still gret deals on Cbid. Glad I got in on this before everyone else finds them. I scored a box ($112/box on CI) for $64.00 ....WOO-HOO !!!!! So in a week or so I'll be able to do a review.

Anyone else had any experience with these yet that they would like to share? What should I expect?

Pardon me .... just one more ....

WOO-HOO !!!!!!

Good cigar. Definitely unique from the other La Viejas. Starts out with a spicy oomph, then turns into a creamy medium bodied smoke with hints of leather. The draw is pretty easy, but produces tons of smoke that seems to coat your mouth with a velvety texture. This is my favorite of all the La Viejas. I actually brought a bunch to hand out at the Allentown Herf. Of all the sizes, I prefer the Habanos 54.

Check out the FORUM thread titled:

"Can anyone tell me more about these?"

As it has lots of comments on the Leather Patch..

I love the LVH LP... Infact, might just smoke one after work!

Have had some suggestions that these may need some aging (quality 'dor time) before these are ready to be really enjoyable. Is that others experience as well?
