I took this last night 9/22. Santa Anna winds 30 knots and the boys blasting artillery, COOL , makes me feel safe. I love waking up to the sound of Hueys( that's a helicopter RICkAMAVEN) and my windows shaken, Guess were I live?

Jarheads and Arty....you gotta be near the Stumps (Twenty-nine Palms) or Camp Pendleton. The only other place would be Ft. Sill and then you wouldn't know for sure if they were Marines.

If that's a Santa Anna blowing, you must be north west of Pendleton. You live in a gated community, so my guess would be south west Orange County. Maybe Laguna Niguel?

I live near Fort Knox. We get the same thing, especially if the weather is really bad. Sleet and rain in the winter usually brings out ALL the artillery and the parachute flares.

I used to live in a little town next to Tacoma, WA. The town was samwiched between Tacoma and Ft. Lewis. I could hear arty, morter and machinegun fire from my house. Aahh, the sound of practicing freedom. I have a friend who would come and visit from time to time, and he would get a bit nervous about the atry & morter fire, having spent two tours in Vietnam. Even after 20 plus years he still has some PTSD.

I spent 4 years on Ft.Sill. That is NOT Ft. Sill. Waaaay to many trees my friend.

Did some livefire once at Ft. Sill and we recieved a letter and a bill, from freakin WAL-MART of all people, for a broken window. It seems that all of the explosions made things shake alittle to much. I guess they shouldnt use cheap thin windows.
