Partagas,

Followed closely by Bolivar.

Every one I have smoked, of either brand, kicks my butt every time.

But I love those PSD#4s

What Homey said. The Partagas EL is especially yummy.

I would also throw a Cohiba Siglio VI in there

Are you asking for strength or full bodied?

full body is flavor while strength is more nicotine content

According to MRN the strongest current regular production Cuban is the Romeo y Julieta Cazadores.

Sorry for the double post. I haven't smoked a Romeo y Julieta Cazadores but the strongest that I've personally smoked is the Cohiba DC.

Hey bassdude ... strength is more nicotine content?

I don't think nicotine has much to do with it, as nicotine is oderless and flavorless ...

While 'full body' is dead-on in the flavor department, I think strength is more geared towards the 'harshness' factor ...

harshness? Slim, cigars not weed. I searched for strength with no luck.

I consider this to be a strong cigar but not at all full flavored or harsh Joya De Nicaragua Antano 1970

Sorry Slim,

I gotta go with Tony on this.

Though nicotine is oderless and colorless, it is easily detected, spins, heartburn, and general discomfort. I think of this as strength.

What Slim said, and the most complex and full bodied ISOM I have smoked was a Bolivar Torpedo about 3 years ago!

All of you are wrong, the strength of a cigar is based in the amount of weight it can handle, like how much it can bench press or dead lift, which hands down is the El Rey del Mundo, in the picture he is holding the world in his arms!! LOL

I would have to go with full bodied = stength and not necesarly full flavor or complexity. ISOM have not affected me in that way, but if I had to choose one the strongest most full bodied cigar I've smopked had to come from the Partagas line!!

I was asking according to THE CIGAR SMOKER's FAQ, I guess you guys have a different definiton.

2.7 Body, strength, flavor, and blends

contributed by [email protected] (Jerry Bezdikian)

All too often, smokers confuse, or blur together, the concept of body, strength and flavor in a cigar. You had posited smoke volume as a possible component - interestingly enough, smoke volume does indeed relate to these factors as well - more on that in a moment.

Most smokers define a cigar's character to two primary components:

BODY (or 'strength', and even 'intensity'), and

FLAVOR (the 'taste' that characterizes a particular cigar)

A full bodied cigar would be perceived as 'strong', but not necessarily as 'flavorful' - naturally, the converse is also true. Incidentally, many veteran smokers favor cigars characterized by both full body, and full flavor.

Coma, I'd have to agree. I've smoked plenty of mild cigars that are loaded, or 'full', in flavor (a la '98 Monte #4). Yet I've burned quite a few that managed to knock me on my arse, but lacked complexity or depth.

in ISOM's I have found this Full "Body" in Ramón Allones , Sancho Panza, Flor de Cano, and Bolivar.. with Bolivar having far more "Flavor" then the others listed...

this is and has been my palatt on tastes/flavor and lungs on amount of body/strongness I can handle... everyone has a different aspect on this one...

hope this helps...

I agree with usahog... Bolivars are yummy!! Lotsa flavor.

I have only had one cigar that was "strong" per my definition. It made me lightheaded for a few minutes and it wasn't a Cuban. It was a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel.

However, of the Cubans I have smoked... Bolivar and Partagas seem to have the most "oomph".
