Well, the old newbie trade thread was getting a little long, so I thought best to start a new one.

It doesn't seem that we have a organized scheme as in the past, but none the less, newbies I beleive are being taken care of.

Newbies, if interested in getting your trading feet wet here's what you should do.

Post a message on here with your email address and interest in one of the vets helping you in learning how trades are done. We will help with any and all questions concerning cigars, trades, humidors, packaging, shipping...etc.

Remember normally we will ask you to ship first as the new guy, then respond with a nice assortment of smokes for you to try. Great way to get a variety of smokes to find out what your tastes are.

And to all new guys and gals....welcome to the Cbid forums!

Brace yourself, Pwg930. Dave broke me in as a newbie and I haven't been the same since. My tip would be to get some more storage space before Dave's package arrives.

I am ready. Well I think I am at least. It will all fit in my little tupper-dor at work, right?

If not I'll just keep em in a shoe box in my basement. 😉

Acutually I fully intend on setting up a new cooler-dor over the weekend.
Hopefully it will be ready in time.

I'm looking to get involved in some trades (PIF,PIB,etc.) and it seems like this is the place to start. I've been lurking on the cigars & related board for quite some time, but have just recently been perusing the trades board. I've spent way too much $$ feeding my C-bid jones and have quickly moved on to the maduros and full bodied smokes. So I hope I can do justice to whoever takes a shot at me. Thanks in advance.

Again, these guys are great. Dave came through with a modest sampler of cigars for me to experience. By modest I mean huge.

On a side note, my wife is recovering nicely from the hernia she suffered when the package arrived at our door.

I will be enjoying my cold Chicago winter this year with a wide assortment of tasty cigars
