I just ordered the 6 Centurian XX deal from Friday. I smoked my first XX (from an earlier sampler) last night. It's a great cigar, but I think I'd rather trade them for more less expensive smokes. Now, I've never done a trade before so I don't really know the protocol here. Let me know if I'm being unreasonable.

Here's what I'm looking for:
I have 6 Centurian XXs and an Astral TVS (I'm just throwing that one in because I'm not too crazy about them) that I would like to trade for a:
-- Box of Excalibur 1066 -- Lance or Gal. + 1 premium I haven't had yet (we can discuss that one offline).
-- Box of 5 Vegas Torpedos & 2 nice ISOMs or 4 Gurkha Regents.
-- Combo of 15 Gurkha Regents & ISOMs. That's 15 total with any combination of the two. Maybe 15 is too high. We can talk.
-- Box of Torano 1959 Gold toro or bigger.
-- Box of Trilogy Native Cammie (robusto or bigger) & 2 nice ISOMs or 4 Gurkha regents

Well, this is all I could think of at this time. If this seems unreasonable, make me a different offer. I'm flexible. The way I see it, the XXs are worth about $15 a piece. That's $90 plus the Astral TVS. Maybe I'm asking too much, but that's why I'm posting -- to find out.

Also, I've never had an ISOM, so I'm really relying on the person I trade with to be honest with me. If someone would like to offer an ISOM deal, please be nice. I'm really just looking to increase the number of sticks from 7 to about 20 or so. The ISOM requested were just to try and make the deal fairly even on the cheaper box options. Anyway, hit me with an email if you think we can make a deal. Thanks

what are you talking about please? The deal that CI offerd on Friday as the first for the Month of October celebrating cigar month was for the Gurkha Legend Anniverasario Mazo 6 pack not the Gurkha Centurian XX unless your talking about a bit on Cbid. I'd double check this if I where you.

Not trying sound harsh, but if you got the six XX's for $25, why are you asking for $90+ worth of gars in exchange? I can win the whole tube of 14 for about $110.

I know that the XXs are expensive, but pass on the savings and be the hero. Try offering a trade asking for less in return and I'm sure you'll get someone to bite really quickly!

Also keep in mind that most BOTLs throw in bonus smokes that really make the deal so much sweeter. Give it a try. All you stand to lose is a few gars that you aren't too wild about anyways.

Thanks, echo. That's the kind of feedback I was looking to receive. As I said, I have no trade experience. I actually like the stick, but I figured that if I could get a box of something else for the six, I'd be happier. Also, I didn't realize you could win the 14 for only $110. That makes a huge difference in how I value the gars.

Let me start over by saying make me an offer on the seven sticks I've presented as available for trade. I've mentioned above which sticks have my interest. I certainly don't mean to rob anyone, and I couldn't anyway. Everybody here knows more about these things than I do. Make me an offer, and maybe we can come to an agreement. If not, I don't mind keeping them. They're really very good.

Ok, I f'ed up. I asked for way too much for these smokes, and now I realize that. Here's the deal. If nobody wants to make a deal on the 6 XXs and 1 Astral TVS, I'll just part 'em out. If I can't agree on a deal from anyone by Tuesday night, I'll request snailers on Wednesday. I'll send 1 or two XXs depending on the # you request. Also, the first person to give me the snailer after I request it will get the Astral TVS unless he/she declines it. All I ask is a fair compensation for the sticks. I'll let your conscience be your guide. My first post on this thread indicates sticks I like. All I really ask is that you don't send Indian Tabac -- I've had enough of those lateley -- or Astral TVS -- remember, I'm getting rid of one. Also, I'd prefer quantity over quality for these sticks.

Does this seem more fair? I'm trying. If this is still unreasonable, please let me know.

I'm going on vacation tomarrow till the 13th, but if you don't make a deal on the lot of them I would like to get a couple, I have some of the Gurhka legends and some ISOMs. LMK

Looks like I'll be parting them out because I'm not getting a lot of serious offers. The more I think about it, the more I think I prefer that. I'd like to get the opportunity to try some different stuff. I haven't had many of the Fuentes, Montecristos, Padrons (never had a PAM), or ISOMs. Again, if nobody wants to trade for all 6 XXs before tomorrow morning, I'll ask for snailers and quantities (1 or 2) and send them out for something equitable in the eyes of the receiver of the XXs.

Remember, I'm new at this, and all I've learned so far is that I was being a dickhead at first asking way too much for sticks I didn't pay much for. Also, I'm in much better spirits since I won a 5er of the 1066s last night. I always get outbid on those.

The cigars are spoken for. This is my first trading experience, and I'm sorry if I've acted like a ****** through the process. That was not at all my intent. I will try to execute more conventional trades in the future. Thanks to all of you that gave me the honest feedback. Sometimes it helps to be called a jerk to realize that you're being a jerk.
