I bought this in 1985 off my Grandpa... is had 23,000 city miles on it.. never had been on the highway and never really ever had a load put on it...
I drove it from 85-97 sold it to my brother, he drove it for a couple years then sold it back to me.. I drove it from 1999 - 2001 and then gave it to my son.. who drove it for about 6 months was going to fix her up.. but now she's sitting needing a brake job and some exhaust work done... I located and installed the newer bed back in 98... it's one solid truck for sure and loves to eat Gas... 345 motor with a 4 speed granny low she can pull or haul just about anything...

That thing is a BEAST! It looks nice for being as "mature" as it is.

My stepson has one He'd love to be rid of. Those old IMC's can be a bear for parts. His has the flat stake-bed. Anybody looking for one?

You have to be dedicated to own one of those beasts. Towards the end of production they seem to have built them with whatever was handy at the moment. I used to cringe when I saw an IMC pull into the lot at My parts store.
