Hey loosecard, check the thread, there is a 2nd Newbie box pass organizing also...maybe you can get on that one.

OK folks. Listen up. Some more additions have been made to the box. As soon as I receive it, I have more additions, so the final list will be updated. Nothing have been changed or removed, but things have been added. There will also be a 1/2 box of cigars for a grab bag. Take one if you want and a thank you to Dave is all that's required.

Now, the contest. I'm having my wife write any noun she wants on a piece of paper. She has no idea what it's for, and I will only tell her after she has written it. So, it could be anything. I'll place that word into the box. This word is the theme. There will be 1 or 2 disposable cameras in the box. You get 2 pictures. Take 2 pictures depicting the theme in whatever way you choose to. I'd recommend not telling everyone else what the theme is before they get the box because then they get extra time to think of something. When I get the box back, I will develop the pics and have my wife choose a winner. The winner gets a 5 pack. Now, my wife is pretty goofy, so humor pictures will probably have an edge. I'll sharpie each camera as #1 and #2, and there will be a sheet inside also. Write your name next to the exposures you used on the particular camera with any description/comments that you feel would be useful to my wife.

I hope to have the box out by the end of next week. Maybe sooner depending on how long it will take the USPS to ship from OR to IN.

JUST A HEADS UP

Looking at the pass order and the timing, there might be a snag for me (I’m second on the list). I’ll be away from home from 11/10 to 11/14. Depending on when the box first gets shipped out and the turnaround time at Velvet’s place, it just might hit me when I’m gone.

If that looks like it might happen, maybe Gandalf907 and I could swap positions (Velvet send to Gandalf instead of me)? It turns out that we’re both located in MA not too far away from one another and we’re looking into coordinating a handoff when our turns come.

The contest sounds fun, I don’t doubt there will be some interesting if not incriminating photos.

We'll see how it goes. There's a bunch of people all crammed up in New England. Wait a minute, there's a NEW england?
I don't see a problem with hitting NY first, then off to MA, then back to PA. Although, If I get this monday as suspected, I'll have it shipped by Wednesday to Dennis. Even if Dennis takes a week for some odd reason, you should have it well before the 10th. At least I'd assume you would. Well, when Dennis makes his pulls, we'll see where we are.

Yeah, I figured we'd have a better idea on timing once Dennis gets it but I just wanted to be proactive and call it out sooner rather than later. Then we could all get on board to find the win-win and maybe take it off-line if necessary.

Whew, how's that for a bunch of corporate BS talk?

Wow... This pass just gets more interesting and exciting! I can't wait to see what's in it by the time it gets to me :o)

LOL...you guys are crazy!!

Just remember....the idea is to not take too long with the box, but at the same time, take enough time that you do not feel hurried. You want it to be a fun experience. Normally, a turn would be....get it one day, make your plays the next, ship it out the day after. Often situations arise that delay it a day beyond that. Then there are some that receive, play, ship all in the same day! LOL I usually we make plays the day I receive and then ship the next, but....notice I said usually....not always! It's not a science....it's a pass and passes are fun...the key word being fun!! Bucky...you only being gone 4 days or so shouldn't be a problem....it will work out fine....but I know one thing for sure....I do believe that Cexshun wants you to play!!

Have you come up with a dollar amount that we shoud be insuring the box for when we ship it?

Also I learned from my first pass, that some of the rules might be confusing in the aspect of how a play is made. As a reminder to all, after viewing the box, you might want to post your plays so everyone gets an idea what your doing, and some might think one play is fair, but in reality your putting in a smoke not of equal quality as your taking.

Remember if you take an ISOM smoke, then you must put in at least one ISOM smoke.

I learned the hard way and if anyone has any questions, it is best to ask in a private e-mail before posting anything.

Just a little info for all, and a reminder to myself, LOL!
