this is a new humidor i just got. its my first one as those of you who responded to my humidor questions will know. i like the divider in the middle. i can line up my small cigars in one section, and big ones in the other, and they can be perpendicular to each other. it measures 10 15/16" X 8 3/4" X 4 15/16283678.jpg

I'm new at this and started with one like that 2 weeks ago but after finding cigarbids.com I now have a bigdaddy 6oo count. You guys are addicting. I spend half my work day on this site now plus most of my evening. I think I found a new life. Thanks. Especially thanks to the oinks of the day and echick , and all the other good stuff going on here. You all sound like a great bunch.

jcates81,

That looks exactly like my first humi that I bought 10 years ago (Supreme Humi?).

The bros aren't kidding about the fact that you're going to need MORE ROOM!

I started out with that 50 gar humi and over the years have purchased several others... each progressively LARGER then the last.

I now have a 4x6 foot humidor cabinet along with all the others I have collected.

IT'S A FUN AND ADDICTING HOBBY!!

Looks like you have a nice start. Good luck to you. I keep one simular to this on my desk at work. I've found it tough to keep the humidity level high enough without resulting to HUMI-CARE, which you can always find of CBID.

If you ever want to step up, try bidding on the El Presidente Humidor, I got mine for $57.00. My wife says it's to pretty to hide in the bedroom and insisted it be used as a piece of furniture, which sparked my reply: Well I guess we had better fill it full of cigars then, huh? Man that reverse osmosis is some awesome stuff.

Jcates, I'm pretty new to the cigar scene also. I bought the 50 count humi to start, and thought it would be plenty big enough, WRONG !! If you hang around here a little while, do a few trades, and win a few lots, you'll either make yourself a tuppador, coolador, or buy a bigger humi real soon.

I agree with Bullwyf, it's kinda hard to keep the humidity high enough without a little help.

Smoke em'

well even if i run out of room in it, is it a crime to keep the excess ones outside the humi until im going to smoke them within a few days? dont most cigars spend most of their lives outside a humi?

jcates....

Whatever you do, keep the Don Diegos IN the humi. ALL your others can do without the humidification. By all means, protect the valuable collection of Don Diegos.

stop the sarcasm. you know don idego is a quality cigar. i like super premiums as much as he next guy, but theres such thing as being a STOGIE SNOB my friend. i know your sitting there right now wishing you had a don diego. if you tried to take one from my humi id slam the lid on your fingers.

Jcates81: Just keep in mind that most cigar smokers on this board have gravitated to heavier smokes over time. To someone like myself, a Don Diego is like smoking air.

Also, everyone here has their own inexpensive cigar brand that they swear by, but your obsession with Don Diego is bound to draw sarcasm. Anyone who enjoys Lone Wolfs (Wolves) or Bad Frogs get ribbed on constantly. Don Diego may have a little more distinction than the other two, but the concept is the same. No one can tell you what you enjoy, so just relax.
