Dear Friends of Beij (Tony),
I noticed today on the Memorial thread a note that Beji is quite ill and loosing faith. There is a call for emails thru the hospital system. When you email Beij, the hospital website asks for his last name so that the email can be delivered.

I never knew him or Sarah, yet I have some experience with long term and potentially deadly accidents/illness and that people do tend to fade. So this is just a plee to send a email once a week or so indefinitly. I have no right to ask any of you, yet many years ago as my brother lay dying of cancer he wondered why people stopped writing him and was very sad.

Beij has contracted a staph infection and has taken a turn for the worse. Beij is depressed at the loss of so many things from his life but also because there have not been visitors lately and he feels so disconnected from the online communities he loves. He is quickly losing the will to live. If anyone is in the Wilmington area and can visit, it might make a tremendous difference. If you can't visit, you can leave messages for the nurses to deliver, or you can email Beij via the hospital website. If you can reach out in any way at this time, it could really make a difference in Beij's recovery.
