"sing a song about the heartland"

The pattern on this map suggests someting other than just the heartland in play. Some guy posted on the misc. bbs that Bush won 96% of counties; seems a bit less than that just eyeballing this map: but lets say he got enough in any case. One interesting feature of this map, besides all that red, is that strip of blue running north/south along the Mississippi river.

But the Democrats are just sure they are the Party for the common man. I'd say the common man has spoken out loud and clear about the Democrats.

interesting because?

That is where the larger cities are. Same as that little blue area in IL an MO near the river.

Very interesting, Sylance. I keep looking at that big blue area in NE Arizona. That's all Indian reservation, isn't it? What did JFK promise to the Navaho & Hopi?

San Diego CA County...Rockin' Republicans!

See, all of CA isn't crazy, fruity, flakey, liberal, or whatever moniker you want to tag us with...

Oh, btw, our 19 y.o. daughter was thrilled to be able to add her first ever vote to the elections...didn't even ask for advice from ol' mom and dad...just voted by her upbringing...common sense.

:)

Right on Marla. 😉

My 14 yr. old thanked me for standing in line for 4 hours to vote; can you imagine that? She was glad I didn't give up? Now isn't that the damnest coolest thing you've heard in a long time?
