You know, you guys don't have to read and/or respond to those questions. I'm pretty sure this is an open forum, meaning its not only for the guys that happened to have been here for a handful of years, but for ALL that stumble upon it - regardless of how much they know/don't know about cigars, storage, etc.

Nowhere in the rules does it state that you can post UNLESS its going to p*ss off guys like Slimboli, et al.

By no means is it personal - just know what it feels like to be the newbie and have these guys jump on you. CBid is lucky some of us didn't say "f this" and leave.

I'm a newbie too, don't worry about it. They jumped down my ass at first, now I laugh about it. Some of these guys have nothing better to do with their time. Just enjoy c-bid and don't let it get to you.

Nobody gets jumped on more than Slim, unless maybe it's Rick. Every newbie who wades into the deep water without reading the no swimming sign gets all indignant when someone points it out to them, and the someone is usually Slim because no one else wants to make waves (aren't all these water analogies just terribly clever?).

Slim's and SteveS's "dead horse" posts ARE the dead horse. When they see a post they have seen before they should think about all of those hours they will never get back after taking the time to read and respond to each and every one... thump, thump (this dead horse thumped and hopefully stays down this time). Ryan, I wish it was better for the both of us.

Ryan, no one intends to be spiteful, or make anything personal when responding to the "dead horse" posts. It's more intended to point out the dead horse nature of the posts. There is a Newbie Info post originated by Sketcha just to answer all those common questions. Many of us DON'T respond to every one,but will jump in when someone gets to trying to gripe out one of the vets over pointing out the dead horse. If a couple of the guys have a little fun with the whole nature of the beast, it's just to alleviate the boredom of it all, not to abuse the poster. If the poster CHOOSES to take offence, then the rest of us will jump in and ensure that the offended party realizes the situation.
